Best way to implement tables today?

Hello - I’m working on integrating table functionality into our editor and running into this issue where prosemirror-tables is transpiling to ES5.

I’ve noticed it mentioned a couple of times both in this forum and GH that prosemirror-tables is no longer being maintained…

Just wondering, how are people integrating tables today? Are any alternatives available to prosemirror-tables? Is there a community best practice? Is everybody just rolling their own?

I believe a lot of people are using prosemirror-tables as it exists. Some companies have custom forks of the repository.
