I’m excited to build a Notion-style block based editor on top of ProseMirror. End-users will be able to build custom blocks in a live-coding environment embedded in the editor. See Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software for some early ideas (the live coding environment is available in alpha).
All of this will be open source, self-hostable, and in the future also support e2ee (I’ve open sourced some related building blocks recently like Matrix-CRDT and SyncedStore).
