Map position with steps

Hey everyone !!

What is the best approach to map the old selection with updated documents!!

if the document went through point A… point z, with going through n number of steps, and if I add some selection at point A in a document, I can easily map through all steps to get selection in point z.

But storing all the steps is something I am not able to figure out yet even if this is the right way that I am approaching ??

Yes, you need the step maps (not necessarily the entire steps) to be able to map a position or selection through them.
